Quote Challenge - December - part I

Lucky Snapping in 2013
Елхата и обредния хляб / с паричка/. 
Christmas tree and the ritual bread / with a coin for good luck /.
Традиционни ястия - постни зелеви сарми и постни пълнени чушки.
Traditional dishes - meatless stuffed cabbage and
meatless stuffed peppers.
Постен боб. / Meatless beans.
Трапезата / Festive table for Christmas Eve - only meatless meals!

  5. You seem to have had a lovely Christmas. We had a tradition to put a coin in the Christmas pudding ( a pudding full of fruit!)
    Interesting your Christmas eve meal is meatless...I wonder why???

    Thanks to your comments I know what I forgot to write!
    - such is the tradition - on Christmas Eve must eat only plant products - so we don't take a life. Meat can be eaten on Christmas Day.
    Christmas Lent actually started as early as November 15th.

  7. Oh yes - I make also the stuffed peppers and leaves :-) Here too there is no meat until Christmas and we have the cake with the coin in January :-D Our customs and food are very much alike Borqna :-D
